Arabic is one of my top subjects! ***I am not a native speaker*** I worked from 2002-2011 as an Arabic linguist for the DOD and other governmental agencies. I was trained in MSA at the Defense language Institute in Monterey CA where I graduated with honors. I was then trained in both the Levant and Iraqi dialects. I was a teaching assistant and tutor at The Ohio state university from 2011-2014

After graduating High School early (Jan 2001) I did two semester at the University of Akron majoring in Political Science. After the events of 9/11 I enlisted in the US Navy (Jan 2002). I was trained at the prestigious Defense Language Institute (DLI) in Monterey CA, with follow up training in Texas. I then spent the next years working as an Arabic linguist and Intelligence Analyst at a Joint Service Operation. I specialized in Iraqi and Syrian Dialects. By 2006 I was a shift NCOIC (Noncommissioned Officer in Charge, basically a supervisor). I left the service in 2008 with an honorable discharge and started working for the department of the army as a civilian but filling the same roll. After suffering some medical issues I moved back to North East Ohio in 2015.

I love teaching and I really enjoy when my students learn and appreciate my teaching style. The communicative approach I use in my teaching is very helpful for the students to make them speak and learn the language. I believe that a student, at any age, can start learning the language by speaking it at the very beginning.
I have been teaching Arabic and French for many years. I love the job I am doing. My legal education in Lebanon, which is an Arabic Country, helpded me a lot in mastering the Arabic language through the research and papers I wrote.
