My first career was as a Registered Professional Nurse (NYS licensure) for 25 years. During those years, I kept up my interest in various fields of math, such as Abstract Algebra, Differential equations, and topology. I was especially interested in algebraically-capable computer math programs. I,eventually, went back to school for my Mathematics degree as part of a long-standing interest in and commitment to Mathematics. I have a strong math and science background. In college, I started out in chemical engineering (2 1/2 yrs.) and then switched to education. My bachelor’s degree is a dual degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. Initially, I taught first grade in a parochial school. My next job was teaching math at the high school level to students with various learning disabilities. Next, I taught individualized mathematics at a science and technology high school.
