I was a student teacher at Miller Place's Middle School and Three Village's Murphy Junior High. I taught both 7th grade honors classes, 8th grade, and 9th grade honors classes. Also, at Three Village I co-taught with the reading department for students who are struggling in English. I've worked with some of my students after school in a one on one tutoring sessions. Teaching Style- That is an interesting question- since there are so many schools with so many different teaching methods I would like to see how the student was shown the particular method for "attack". It would also be helpful to compare that to the textbook directions; from there I will be able to develop a plan based on the topic and the individual student. I have had to recreate lessons for my son for years in order to develop a style that he understands. The student may have an idea for creatively learning this topic- I am always open to suggestions.
