I have taught ESL students for 12 years in a wide range of levels and educational settings. Utilizing many resources and giving the students life skills is common practice in my lessons. I enjoy teaching and working with all children. My experience with tutoring, employee training and working with my own two children has shown me that there are many different learning styles and paces. I was more of an instructor than a teacher. I was a day camp counselor at Solway House parent/child resort in Saugerties N.Y. I instructed kids how to swim, dive, play various sports and gave dancing lessons to the guests. As a high school student I tutored 7th and 8th graders in an after school community center. I was one of a few staff at the University of Connecticut to instruct graduates and staff in the use of the various electronic facilites available to them.
