As a music graduate of Morehead State University, I was very much driven to achieve a level of excellence in education. I earned my BS is Music Education and have completed additional coursework required for re-certification. I have substiute taught many classes and did a long term position teaching 6th grade science. While teaching music for three years, I also worked as a tutor for Sylvan, where I gained tutoring skills. I also privately tutored in my home in the subject of math.
My teaching style is very hands on. I understand that students learn in a variety of ways. Some are hands on, and need to actually get their hands on the project to understand. A Little Bit About Me...

My love of learning and love of working with students has motivated me to continue my education. I have earned a BA in Mus Ed (k-12) and a MA in Counseling, both school counseling and community agency counseling. I also am a private piano instructor as well as the Minister of Music at my church. I have learned problem solving and communication skills because of my many years of working with students of all levels as well as their parents. I work well with students one on one as well as large groups. I also have experience working with teenagers and adults. I was a HS band director for almost 6 yrs. A Little Bit About Me...

As a child, I entered the gifted program very young and have always tutored my peers. Tutoring led me to join the Quiz Bowl and other Academic Teams as well as led me to graduate high school early. I have tutored everything from Accounting to Chemistry to Mathematics to Finance to Anatomy/Physiology. I have recently earned a bachelor degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and have tutored many students over the past five years in Cost Accounting, Finance, Governmental Accounting, Auditing, Banking, Marketing, and Management at the college level.
