I was lucky enough to have a number of great teachers throughout my schooling, and this has helped me realize what a difference these extraordinary educators can make. In taking courses with them, I have found that the most important things are to be patient and respectful. I realize that not every student has the same learning style, and in my tutoring experience I have been able to adapt and achieve success for all of my students.
As an undergraduate at Rhode Island College, I studied Physics and Mathematics. During this time, I was on the Dean's List for all 8 semesters, and earned the departmental award in Physics. When I was not working on my studies, I tutored both college students in the Physical Sciences Department, and high school students for the Upward Bound Program, which seeks to prepare inner-city high school students for their first year of college.
