A Little Bit About Me...

I was an exceptionally driven high school student, taking the most difficult schedule my small private school would offer. My course work included AP calculus and AP US government, on both exams I received good marks. In college I studied a wide variety of classes in pursuit of a degree in the liberal arts. My main foci were history, foreign languages and English literature and grammar while maintaining a love for the sciences and mathematics. I have spent the last two years teaching English as a second language in China. My time there was spent teaching the oral skills and tutoring in reading and writing.

I enjoy teaching people subjects that I understand. My preferred subjects to teach would be anything math, finance and accounting related. I graduated from UW-Madison with a Finance degree and my MBA degree with an Investment Management focus at UW-Milwaukee in December of 2009. I tutored for nearly two years while at UW-Madison and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I have current knowledge of financial concepts as I am currently enrolled in school and I believe this current knowledge would be an asset in aiding a student learn some of the financial concepts out there.
The hardest thing about teaching is determining how the individual student learns. I enjoy knowing that with my help a student could be able to feel better about what they are learning in their classes. I take great satisfaction in working through a tough problem and seeing the light of understanding in a student's eyes.
