While attending a small private university in upstate New York, I pursued a degree in Chemistry with a minor in English. Although I have no formal teaching experience, I do have been developing my teaching style for many years while I worked with the developmentally disabled. I learned to identify a teachable moment, which is a time at which the student would be most receptive to learning.
