I took high school and college seriously. After college I worked for several years before attending law school. After law school I decided to combine my legal experience with hands-on medical skills, and I enrolled in a Registered Nurse program at SUNY Delhi, which I will complete next May. This summer is a lull before completing my education and embarking on a medical administration career.
I believe effective learning can occur in a 1-on-1 tutoring situation when the tutor and the student can communicate well. Tone, mood, and setting all come into play. A tutor who is relaxed, cheerful, encouraging, and resolutely intelligent is more likely to be approachable and someone the student will collaborate with successfully. I am a well round person; strong in geography and Latin American history. With my BA in Geography I would be able to help out with Physcial, World, GIS(Mapping) and Latin American History classes (12 cr.) Resent knowledge in medical terminology, medical office ethics, privacy, billing and coding. Most of my career has been in GIS (Geographic Information Systems) computer software that allows you to do diverse analytical and spatial applications. I also have been a tutor and substitute teacher, as well as a volunteer a Christian school library for grades K4-K5. My most recent profession was an office assistant.
