I absolutely love teaching and seeing a student coming to a true understanding of material or subject matter I'm teaching them. I believe that anyone has the ability to learn and each individual learns by different methods. As an instructor it is my job to be sure that I accomodate each students learning style and give them choices for finding a way to come to the full understanding of a subject. A reflective style incorporates the teacher’s knowledge of the subject with what she knows about the students’ needs. For instance, if your student struggles with creativity but is grammatically strong, exercises in creative writing will be introduced. A Little Bit About Me...

I attended a preparatory school in Junior High and High School. I then went on to Mississippi College where I obtained a Bachelor degree in Home Economics with an emphysis on Fashion Merchandising. When I became a mom, I decided to home school my kids so that I could take an active part in their education and I could guide them in ways that someone else might not find interesting or important.
I love to learn and everyone learns differently. I believe that if the information is not being understood one way, then we need to find another way to instruct. Hands-on learning and learning through experience always leaves a lasting impression. Just memorizing facts, although in some cases that is necessary, it is just not fun for all students and just may not stick unless learned in a fun way.
