A Little Bit About Me...

I like to work with children of all types. I think that anybody has the capability to learn if they really want to. Everybody learns in a different way and I am willing to work with them any way I can. I am very patient, laid back, and willing to try new ways to help children accomplish their goals. A teacher is their to help them learn and lift their spirits in times of frustration and show them a different approach to the problem. Encouraging the child can make all the difference in the world sometimes when they are about to give up.
I am a graduate from Pittsburg State University with a Bachelor Degree in Psychology and about to graduate in May 2011 with another Bachelor degree in Recreational Therapy. I will be a graduate of Northeastern State University as of May 17th, 2010 holding a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. I will be taking my certification test during the weekend of April 17th. This spring I complete my full internship in Owasso Ok, where I taught 5th grade. I have been able to experience children in teaching dance for man years. As well as having my own to children. One of which is a struggling reader, which prompted me to go back and get an education to learn how to help her better.
My strengths are with all children, they are my passion. I love inspiring and motivating students to learn. I try to actively engage students in learning by using a variety of activities, projects, and manipulatives.
