Building Future Business Minded Youth

I have had 5+ years of experience in a coporate business environment. In this environment, I coached customer service representatives of varies levels on how to become more customer service savy and business minded. I believe that effective teaching is comprised of two necessary and related elements: knowledge of the content and ability to communicate it. Knowing the material is not enough to be effective in teaching it; likewise, communication skills won't work alone. A Little Bit About Me...

I have always had a passion for education and learning. I have always excelled in mathematics from elementary to collegiate levels. I LOVE math. I love to do math and I love to teach math. I was even on a math competition team in middle school. I have a strong statistical background from my Psychology studies and have taught Middle Grades Math to 8th graders. I graduated with an M.Ed. in Higher Education and Student Affairs from the University of South Carolina in May of 2010. Directly after graduating, I began a career as an Academic Advisor in the Moore School of Business Undergraduate Division at the University of South Carolina. I currently still hold this job. I also taught a University 101 course to 25 incoming freshmen in the Fall of 2010.
