I believe in meeting students right where they are, and letting them progress at their own rate. I make learning as relevant as possible and incorporate many hands-on learning opportunities. American Sign Language and English Tutor

When it comes to language, I believe that people tend to learn best by doing. I also believe wholeheartedly that successfully learning a language depends on your exposure to that language. Continuous exposure to any language can help language acquisition. For English, regardless of what specifically the student is struggling with, consistent reading and writing practice is key. With a manual language like ASL, practicing signing skills and receptive skills is invaluable. Finally, I believe that people learn better when their strengths are pointed out and highlighted rather than their weaknesses.
