-I ow my child care I teach 2,3 & 4 years olds there abc & numbers & colors also To get them ready for school -I pick a day of the week and I teach them to bake cookies or cup cakes - art's, crafts , coloring. - go to places zoo, play ground.. Passionate Elementary Education Tutor

I love teaching and I love to see the spark in a child's eye when they finally understand a subject they have struggled with! Everyone needs help now and again!

I have worked with children ages 5 and up for a few years now. I have 3 siblings all 8 years or more younger than me, and have had lots of experience with children in elementary school. I have tutored middle school students after hours, and have worked with Special Needs children throughout my summers and within my school.
I find most children at young ages are visual learners, but I am easily adjustable to many teaching styles to fit the students needs.

I have never believed in or practiced the lecture as a form of instruction. Rather I apply a program of hands-on repetition, a "walk me through it" approach whereby the student demonstrates what has been retained and understood and where we need to apply some more time. I continually review what has been learned so everything stays current and fresh in the mind.
