I believe that if a student wants to learn, they can accomplish anything. As an educator, it is my responsibility to help all students accomplish their individual goals. The learning process is one of my favorite things to witness because it can occur at any time in any place. The incredible part of teaching is that the educator also learns. I have taught just about all secondary levels of science throughout my teaching career. I have typically worked in county schools where each member of the department had to take on multiple tasks. I have taught chemistry, physics, biology, earth science, environmental science, horticulture, and principles of technology in my twenty-five year career. I have often taught lower math classes as well, ranging from Math 8 to Algebra I and geometry.
I really enjoy working with young teens. I have worked in high schools for 25 years in Virginia and West Virginia. I have always had good rapport with teens and have enjoyed interacting with them.
