A Little Bit About Me...

I am a big believer in real life examples and visual cues. I write every little detail so that one can always look back to their notes and have no problem revising. Courses such as biology and psychology are comprised of a ton of theory, therefore diagrams, frequent quizzes and examples play an integral part to learning. I describe the lengthy terms and processes by breaking them down, drawing and explaining the origin of the words. On the other hand, mathematics and statistics require consistent practice. I solve the tougher questions and show the correct way to display one's work. Speaking from experience, most students make mistakes because they do not write the solution correctly. Hence I put a lot of emphasis on the writing part.

I have had a wide variety of teaching and tutoring experiences. While pursuing my BA in education, I tutored K-3 students in Reading as a work-study participant. I have worked in a variety of environments from the intercity to the suburbs in Cleveland. As I worked on my TESOL degree, I tutored several ESL adults in order to prepare them for life as a college student in the USA.
