Depends on the student. I'm very adaptable. To say I am or am not alone thing here would be to exclude those who don't like that style.
I've had years of experience due to my love of English. I'd help my friends and underclassmen to understand a novel or get ideas to write a paper. I'd check their grammar and spelling, and offer advice about the overall style of the paper. Now, I'm studying to become a college professor of English and perhaps French. I'm willing to work with students at middle school and high school age who need help either writing or understanding English or grammar, or need help with an assigned book that they can't understand (ergo, Shakespeare).

A Little Bit About Me...

I've been writing and thinking about writing since I learned to read. I graduated with a BA in English Literature from Berea College. Berea is known for its rigorous academic program. I worked in the Public Relations Office as a News Writer, doing research and writing news releases for upcoming events. Post graduation, I’ve edited a book manuscript for the author, Normandi Ellis. I have also revised student’s application essays for graduate school. In addition, my Mom, who is a school teacher in Michigan, will sometimes email me grammar-related questions.
