Teaching to me is a vocation and not just a job. I enjoy helping children achieve their peek potential in the subject matter at hand. Children's church is where a year of my experience comes from. I would guide a group of children during the service and would spend individual time with those who wanted to brush up on their reading and writing. I enjoyed every minute of this experience and can say I made an impact in those children's lives. I love working with children of all ages. I’m interested in teaching children earth science and molecular biology. During college I studied art also, this allowed me to be strong in diagrams and understanding photosynthesis and other processes in science with great detail. I learned by color and charts and relied on a dry erase board to learn the human body in Anatomy. I could take a mental picture and learn the names clearly. My only documented tutoring was with the local elementary school in a program called “Reading Buddies”. I had a syllabus for the children and was rewarded with clear results on both children.
