Elementary Tutor

I have taught elementary school for the past six years. I worked in an inclusive classroom where I differentiated for the needs of all students. I particularly love teaching reading, writing, and math. I have run many intervention programs, piloted new curriculum, and served as a literacy coordinator in my school to advance the teaching of reading and writing.
I enjoy coming alongside frustrated learners who need an extra boost to support their academic growth. I am very patient and understanding, while at the same time communicating high expectations. This past year I graduated magna cum laude from Carleton College with a Bachelor’s in History and Medieval Studies. I have studied abroad at Oxford University, and in Rome and Romania, and have a lot of experience in writing research reports and essays. I have teaching and tutoring experience at the high school and college level. I love expanding their minds and sharing my knowledge with them. I will be a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Superior in just a few short weeks with my degree in English and Communications. A Little Bit About Me...

I began my college career in the Institute of Technology at the University of Minnesota. During my five semesters in the program I was able to study calculus and physics. I am familiar with high school level physics and mathematics up to and including pre-calculus. After five semesters at the University I transferred to St. Cloud State University to study economics. I honed my statistical and grammatical skills by writing research papers there. During my time at St. Cloud State University I tutored at St. Cloud Technical and Community College.
