I find it rewarding to teach children and adults the necessary skills that allow them to obtain full English literacy. One of the greatest accomplishments in the course of the educational process is the acquisition of full, quality literacy; it is the foundation. Consequently, I prefer a step-by-step, pragmatic method of teaching English language skills: phonics, words, syllables, consonants, verbs, sentences, punctuation, grammar, etc.
As a long-term adjunct instructor, I have successfully cultivated an effective set of best teaching practices relative to the English language and Communications. I make every conscious attempt to relate to my students as individuals and to meet their educational needs. Additionally, I exert much effort with students to impress upon them the importance of education in their lives and the fact that learning can be totally fun.

In a nutshell, I taught high school English for eleven years. I am passionate about all facets of education in the classroom and the real world. I have much to offer my students whether it be a love of literature, grammar and vocabulary or life itself! I love to teach.
My teaching style is one of discipline and at the same time hands-on. Students must feel the relevance of the world around them in order to gain an understanding of what's being taught. I work with the individual but never let the focus off of the competition that's waiting. Students must understand that learning is an every day, every moment experience. It's all about how they see the world around them. I love teaching and working with children. The "aha" moment is what I live for. My teaching style is highly creative to borderline eccentric! I have extensive training in the various learning styles and instinctively target the student's learning style in order to make the most progress. I am a firm believer in kinesthetic learning activities and of using a hands-on, mnemonic-driven approach to teaching.
