German is one of my top subjects! I am a U.S.-born American citizen, but, due to my childhood status as a military brat, spent 10 total years in Germany. During my time there, I immersed myself in the language and in the culture, even spending one year of my undergraduate studies at a German university. I extended my knowledge of German at the university (The University of the South, The University of Colorado) and now hold a Bachelor's and a Master's in German. I also have two years of formal university-level teaching experience as a teaching assistant at CU Boulder. My experience with the German language occupies the past 12 years of my life. While in Germany, I was constantly immersed in the German culture and economy, and made many German, Austrian, and Swiss friends with whom I spoke German daily. Teaching is not something I had initially aspired to but found I am a teacher and motivator by nature. I love the challenge of figuring what pieces, educational, each student is missing and helping them fill the their gaps to reach the next level and have things come together for them. A Little Bit About Me...

I recently graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering. There I had the opportunity to work as a Teacher's Assistant for undergraduates, which included private instruction during office hours, help with homework, grading, and occasionally leading courses. In addition to this, I tutored privately in Systems Physiology. Prior to my graduate studies, I pursued my bachelor's degrees in biology (with a minor in chemistry) and German.
