A Little Bit About Me...

I believe your teaching style cannot be enforced on a student, you need to learn the students learning style and adapt to them. I know the different learning styles of visual, auditory and kinestetic are important to identify with the student to help them achive thier ultimate learning experience. I strive to identify these styles and bring out the best in each student.
I have three children who my wife and I have homeschooled over the past ten years. I have an associates degree of applied science and criminal justice and a bs in interdisciplinary studies with an emphasis area on criminology, sociology and business. More About This Tutor...

My entire background revolves around teaching. I taught in a Preschool while I was working on my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. While there I worked with all ages from Infants to the School Age children. After completing my degree I then went to teach in a public school. The first year I taught and ran the Preschool Program of about 50 children, ages 3 to 5 years. The next four years I taught third grade where our emphasis was on reading comprehension, analytical thinking skills, and writing. After leaving the public school arena I completed my MBA and then moved on to teaching adults. Lately I have been working at a local hospital instructing Physicians, Nurses, Pharmacists, and Clinic Managers on integrating their new Electronic Health Records program.

A Little Bit About Me...

Having graduated with a degree in elementary education, I have learned the variety of students' learning styles and know how to target each child's unique style of learning. With a strong background in reading, English, and history throughout high school and college courses, I have been able to use engaging activities and multiple strategies to tutor and teach others. Foreign languages come easy to me as well, and I have particular interest in German and Spanish. When I volunteered at the Boys and Girls Club during college, I spent one-on-one time with students who needed help with their homework and thoroughly enjoyed this experience.
