My comments on tutoring Dyslexia : Worked with students 1 - 9 grades, and with adults, "untwist" common "twisted" letters

I love teaching. I earned my BA before I was old enough to vote. While my classmates were in his/her senior year, I was teaching. Eventually I earned my M.Ed. in Reading, then started School Administration and Adult Education. In all these fields I find similar necessary skills: patience, co-operation among staff and colleagues, knowledge of subject matter, communication with the community and parents and a well defined curriculum. Moreover, I am a published author and a former writer with St. Louis Globe Democrat - Suburban Journals. As a favor to my students, I often evaluate papers for submission. These students will always earn excellent grades.

A Little Bit About Me...

Over the past 29+ years I have been teaching in the fields of Elementary Education and Special Education. I am certified in Elementary Education, Learning Disabilities, Mentally Handicapped (Intellectually Delayed), and Behavior Disordered. I have a BS in Child development with a minor in phsychology and I was teaching for Head Start back before I finished my degree. I have since finished and I am looking to expand my range. I love math and it just comes easy for me. I have a background in Engineering and Calculas.
I first make learning fun and exciting. As in past experience each child learns diffently and I need to be able to adapt to this. I first see what the level of the child is then work on the next step and help make sure the new level is learned as well as the old level is still maintained.
