I first discovered my love for teaching in high school. I excelled in many areas and helped my fellow students learn. As I furthered my education, my passion for teaching grew and my style changed. I have molded my favorite, and most effective, professor's techniques into my own hybrid. I use humor and compassion to develop the student's understanding. I try to teach to the student and not at them. I teach study habits that will help them learn more effectively on their own.
I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Chemisty with a minor in statistics. As an undergraduate, I tutored middle-schoolers in science and math as a volunteer at a local school. After graduating from Vanguard University of Southern California with my BA in English, I decided to enroll in the Education Program to receive my Single Subject English Teaching Credential. Teaching has always been a passion of mine. I started tutoring students in subjects such as Math, English, Science, History, and Spanish, when I was merely a Junior in High School.
