A Little Bit About Me...

I have been tutoring since I was in high school. Between that and teaching Sunday School and Children's Church, I have more than ten years of experience. I have tutored children whose ages range from elementary school to high school. I have also tutored adults to help with college classes and help prepare for GED tests. I teach the Bible to children whose ages range from newborn to eight years.
This depends on the student and his or her individual needs. I like to find creative ways to make learning more fun for the individual so that he or she will feel more motivated to learn.

My area of expertise is Chemistry, however, I have tutored students in all areas of science and math. I also have a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry with a minor in Biotechnology. I also have a PhD in Chemistry with a specialization in Biochemistry. As a teaching assistant in graduate school, I taught General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry Lab. However, over the past 10 years, I have tutored students in Algebra, Calculus, Geometry, and Anatomy and Physiology.
It has been proven that students have different styles of learning. Thus, I understand that my tutoring approach will not be the same for each client. My first tutoring experience was in my freshman year of college. I tutored basic college algebra and calculus. Having earned two bachelor degrees in both math and physics. I feel I have a good understanding of not only the theory but also the applications of math to science. Tutoring both privately and publicly has also increased my speaking and presentation abilities.
