I love to help students become over achievers. I discovered that my success is directly related to how I overcame my past challenges with math, particularly Algebra. Reflecting back on the years when I attended high school, I struggled with math. Once I was accepted to NC A&T, I realized that I had developed a fear of math and did not understand basic algebraic concepts. As the Office Assistant at Exousia Rehabilitation Services, I also performed many personal assistant tasks for the owner, including tutoring her two high school students at least three nights a week. As the Administrative Assistant and nRg Program Coordinator at Heart Reach Ministries (a non-profit youth center), I worked with at-risk teenagers during both summers I was there. This involved leading group discussions as well as educational lesson plans at least twice a week throughout the summer.
