HTML is one of my top subjects! HTML is the first step in learning to write web apps and large scale web sites. I have over 7 years in HTML experience. I have picked up tips and tricks over time and am familiar with new HTML5 standards.

I prefer a hands on approach. We will work on lots of programming problems, we will program a lot, and you will leave with a program to show and a greater fundamental understanding of the content.

A Little Bit About Me...

All students have a variance in their learning style but I have found a cognitive apprenticeship/constructivist approach is a good style to start with. I show the student how to accomplish a task, then we accomplish a similar task together, and finally, the student shows me how to accomplish the task, with my guidance if necessary. This way, I really learn how the student thinks and comprehends information. All students need extra help sometimes. I happen to be a guy who loves to provide that help.
I first began tutoring at a middle school when I was earning my bachelors degree at San Diego State University in the mid 90s. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to pursue a career in education.
