Professional Tutor in Programming and in English Language

Computer Science: The style depends upon the students needs. I can explain concepts verbally and visually. I expect the student to put effort into their course, but I will help the student with difficult concepts, finding errors in their code, suggesting improvements to code, etc. English: I believe in an interactive approach. Speaking is the best way to learn a language. However, I will also help the student understand the reasons behind the grammar, origin of words and why this is important to English spelling, with pronounciation, and with writing skills.

I have a Bachelor of Art in History, predominantly American. I also pursued Engineering for my first year and plan to go back to College. I have completed through Calculus II and am also experienced in hands-on mechanical. I have limited tutoring experience, but I know I can listen and respond. Any experience came from helping others in classes during College.
I'm patient and listen to the student to see what they get and don't get about the premise of the lesson. Then we get to it. Careful reinforcement of the Correct method will ensure Remembrance and Results. Also, Lessons must be approached within the context of the Big Picture. Students need to realize that there are no pointless or forgettable sections. Basically, communication is key followed by practice, reinforcement, more practice. Learning can be at pace, but laziness and whining will not be tolerated.
