I always try to consider the challenges that each individual student faces when I devise the way I am going to present materials. In terms of tutoring students in literacy/phonics/phonemic awareness, I am a big proponent of sequential and explicit phonics instruction that builds knowledge and competency step by step. A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy helping students with their desire to learn a new language. I have noticed that children who speak more than one language are able to learn faster and adapt easier to different environments around them.
I tutored French to grades 8 thru 12 for 8 years when living in India. I had just graduated high school and was looking to help kids in the neighborhood. A Little Bit About Me...

During my high school years I would volunteer to help children through various charities and church. When I attended college I became an Early Childhood Education major and volunteered in preschool and elementary schools. During my Student Teaching in Des Plaines I was in complete control of a Kindergarten classroom and later a 2nd Grade class. After graduating I began working in a daycare where I created activities for children as young as 3 years old and activities and homework help for elementary students as old as 13.
