I believe that all children have the ability to learn effectively. It is just a matter of understanding how that child specifically learns best, is how to provide the best possible teaching method. If the child is surrounded by positivity throughout their education as well as constructive criticism, the child will understand their potential and move forward.
As a recent college graduate, I was driven to study engineering and music to create a balanced lifestyle. I have earned a bachelor of science with a major in engineering science and a minor in music. The ability to counteract my math and science studies with the arts is beneficial for the body and mind. My off-campus work-study job during my college career included tutoring at an after school program for children in elementary school to middle school in the subjects of math, science, and english.

I graduated with a 4-year degree in Mech. Eng. in 1997. I was very successful for the next 12 years, in various positions. In 2009, I changed to the IT field. As an engineer and thereafter, I mentored many friends, colleagues, and friends of friends with computers. I am familiar with MS Windows, but I plan to learn about MAC PCs soon. I know I can help any user find a better way to operate the computer. I have read reference books and software manuals to educate myself on technology. As a recent CofC graduate attaining my Bachelors of Science degree in Biology, I have a vast knowledge of Biology and Chemistry courses. I also attained minors in Chemistry and Psychology. In high school I completed Advanced Placement (AP) courses in Biology, English, and Calculus and placed out of 21 college credit hours.
