A Little Bit About Me...

Wal-Mart Produce Manager Front-line hourly supervisor, majority of the work evolved customer service, planning administration work for upcoming events, keeping in stock merchandise, delegating daily operation tasks, managing associate performances, accurate in stock, meeting sales forecast, meeting a certain profit margin, working with outside suppliers, and controlling expenses within the department.
There are many arrays of learning styles. I personally use visually, writing, and seeing the bigger picture. First, the mind can develop a concept or help map out the ideas by seeing the picture to the learning task. Second writing helps to reinforce the concept or idea. Lastly seeing the bigger picture helps to encompass their own ideas as well as the originator ideas.

I focus on beginning with a student where they are at on a certain topic. I mold a lesson to integrate as much as possible with the student's pre-existing life interests. In nine years of teaching high school, my evaluators always compliment my use of fun and humor in keeping students engaged.
I have been teaching and coaching athletics for nine years, mostly high school science, but also reading, SAT/ACT preparation, and other topics. I have also published two children's books and three young adult fiction books. My B.S. is in Biochemistry from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
