I believe that anyone can learn. I approach history as a story (albeit a very detailed one) and languages as a skill set. I don't do rote memorization, but instead emphasize the patterns, causes, and effects of concepts. Texas Certified Teacher: Early Childhood thru 5th Grade

I taught Early Childhood and Elementary school, grades Pre-K through 5th, in the Houston Independent School District for 10 years. I mostly taught 1st grade. It is amazing to see them progress and learn, from non readers to readers, from non writers to story writers.
