Hi! I am graduating in May from a teacher preparation program at a local college. I was nominated for Promising Teacher of the Year in 2015. I am currently student teaching in Wichita. I have worked with children in a variety of roles from being a nanny, babysitting, working in a nursery, to being a paraprofessional. I will have obtained licensing to teach kindergarten through sixth grade in May of this year.

I have a bachelor degree in Business Administration. I have only tutored friends, family, and children at the Harbor House/Catholic Charities domestic abuse shelter. I am a very good writer and also good with children. I enjoy children and I am thrilled to be a part of their success. I believe that if one believes in a child then the child will realize this and also believe in him or herself. If one makes learning fun and exciting then the child will be encouraged and want to learn instead of seeing it as a difficult task. As a Civil Engineering student at the University of Michigan, I took classes that led to proficiency in math and science, as well as general classes that have given me a well-rounded education. I have been tutoring in Physics and Calculus for the past six years. I have also been playing guitar for 10 years, and have been giving lessons for four years. I absolutely love teaching. I have considered continuing my education and pursuing a secondary education teaching degree. I believe I am patient and kind, and provide a learning experience that is most beneficial to all.
