I have been tutoring for the past five years. I have tutored a large variety of students including high school, middle school, and elementary school students. The way how I run my classes are first we do a warm up on the subject that I will be teaching and then I will teach the student a lesson. After teaching the student I will give them practice and let them answer any questions. And then towards the end of the class, I will give them a mini quiz where to understand the strength and weaknesses.

My comments on tutoring Algebra I : Review all of basic math concepts which should help you understand Algebra I.

The ASVAB AR is made up of only about 15 major types of problems. 90% require you to know the formula to solve the problem. For example a PERCENTAGE PROBLEM Is usually solved using this formula: % / 100 = Part / Whole. You can plug- in the values and solve for the missing "x". I can give you ALL of the formulas you will need on the Arithmetic Knowledge Section. We also review techniques for excelling on the PC, MK and WK sections of the ASVAB.
I have over five years tutoring asvab students. I can help you with asvab math formulas and difficult problems. I have tutored and mentored students for more than five years in Algebra I & II, Trigonometry, Physics, Chemistry, English and ESL. I have a degree in Psychology and a certificate in TEFL. I believe tutoring is a really helpful and useful addition to class and studying by oneself because it is reviewing class material once again and it is a way for students to be accountable to yet another person who knows the answers to their questions and can help them work to that answer as well.
I usually start with a diagnostic test to concentrate on weaker areas then come up with a weekly plan focusing on those areas. After a lesson, I usually give worksheets and sometimes online exercises, depending on the subject, and use videos and games if applicable.
