My comments on tutoring Algebra II : Algebra made up a good portion of all of my coursework. It permeates all facets of science, so you have to master algebra and calculus simultaneously as you progress through scientific studies. I always have been particularly skilled in the math department. There is something about numbers and equations that just makes sense to me.
I always liked playing up my quirky personality. My favorite teachers and professors were the goofy ones, the ones who can relate to the students' fun side. These teachers also challenged me the most, and I ended up getting so much more out of the course. I figure that, if a student likes the teacher, he or she will pay more attention and have a deeper respect for the teacher. The teacher then can use this trust to push the student a little more, intellectually. I find that is what works best for me.
I don't any paid, professional tutoring experience. However, I have volunteered my services to family members and friends. During my sophomore year, I took Organic Chemistry and excelled.
