I have always been driven to do more with my life. I have always had goals in life and often times pursued them. My BS degree in Biology was one of these goals I have accomplished. In my education at the University of South Dakota, I have learned many skills that I know I will use in the future. I went to college at Iowa State University and finished at the University of South Dakota with a major in communication disorders and a minor in psychology. I have a strong training background. I have held jobs in which I was a manager, which required me to train staff. I also taught computer classes (Microsoft, Internet, Basic PC) at Western Iowa Tech for a few years. I earned A's throughout my high school career; and I excelled in college in math, science and English, though I would no longer be comfortable teaching high-level science.

Since graduating from University of Modena (Italy) with a BS in Biology, and during my Ph.D at University of Siena (Italy) I have been developing my career in the research field. I have gained superior scientific knowledge from working at Italian National Institute of Health during four years of my PhD program in the field of developmental biology, publishing many scientific papers during that time. After my PhD, in 2006, I decided to grow scientifically and joined Hematech (a pharmaceutical company located in Sioux Falls) as a Postdoc (Junior Scientist) to work to elucidate the mechinism that drives nuclear reprogramming of somatic cells into embryonic cells.
