During my career, I have worked in the financial services industries holding positions from auditor to Vice President of Operations after earning my BA in Accounting and History. I have designed, developed and implemented accounting and control system for several small businesses to multi-billion dollar operations. Currently, my part time consulting assignments focuses on resolving financing issues for small to medium size companies specifically around the mortgage industry. My experience, knowledge and skills are multifaceted and reach far beyond the classroom experience. I currently am a substitute teacher for all grades from 1st grade to high school. I started this avocation after spending 27 years in the Finance and Accounting areas. I have an MBA from the University of Kansas. One of the gifts God has given me is the ability to help others reach their potential. When teaching, I am quite often able to explain difficult subjects to students in a way that is easier for them to understand. I believe that if a student wants to learn a subject and is willing to put forth the effort, that student has the tools to succeed. Quite often they just need help in "how" to learn. There are a lot of subjects that are intimidating to students. I like to demystify and simplify the subject so that the student has a greater chance for success.
