I try to make things as fun as possible, and I try to help the student understand by putting the subject in a way that suits their interests. I like to joke around with the students, because it puts them at ease, and it develops a relationship with them that is hard to come by. I have always had an interest in English, writing, and Communications. I have tutored students in both English, reading, and writing. In my undergraduate program I earned a BA in English and spent time working as a writer and Sports Editor for my college newspaper, worked as an intern at a newspaper, and worked in Public Relations as Communications Manager for a nonprofit organization.
I believe that any child can learn and that we all have various learning styles. We just have to find the style that is best for optimum learning.
