A Little Bit About Me...

I prefer one-on-one work with the students that stresses not simple correction or copy editing but legitimate comprehension on the part of my charges. My teaching style is comprehensive and rigorous and requires serious involvement and passion on the student's part. I do not hand-hold and I do not coddle but I am not uncaring: students learn best from experience, and that's something I can provide.
I have worked in a number of positions that have required me to teach and train, whether that be as an instructor at a local radio station who was responsible for preparing DJs to broadcast or a tutor in Hong Kong who was responsible for developing the English skills of a number of non-native speakers at all levels. My experience is backed up by my certification to teach English as a second language and a track record as somebody who writes at a professional level.

I am a student at McNeese under Biochemistry. My major has required me to take math classes up to Calculus II - which I completed with an A grade. Calculus I I completed my senior year of high school at St. Louis Catholic. My experience as a tutor sparked when I decided to network myself as a private tutor, successfully starting with one student, whom I still tutor, and continuing with more as time progressed. My life has been filled with teaching and working with children. At the age of ninteen as a very young mother I felt a sense of duty in teaching my children how to achive higher than they can ever have imagined. I love to see the look of awe on their faces when they realize that they to can understand which ever subject that slips them. The rest is simple practice, practice, practice seals the deal.
