I am 4.0 student currently still in high school. I have mastered the arts of Algebra 1 and Pre- Algebra. I can also work with Elementary kids on any subject they need. I am preparing to graduate in the spring of 2011 from Mississippi State University with a special education degree. I have studies pedagody and methods for two years with a range of experiences in all types of classrooms. I will be a highly qualified teacher in the spring. I have been in a classroom since I was conceived. My parents are high school science teachers. I have studied a variety of subjects, and I have a deep content understanding of math and science. I have tutored college students in anatomy and physiology and college algebra. I am a whole brain power teacher. Most of my experience is with exceptional children from a range intelligence. I have a BS in Microbiology from the University of Alabama which includes Inorganic Chemistry (one year), Organic Chemistry (one year), and Biochemistry (one year) plus associated labs. As far as teaching experience goes,...I taught my three children for a total of 6 years, covering grades K-5. I believe that the most important part of teaching is to find a way to communicate a concept to the individual learner. This may include presenting the concept to the student using several different teaching styles in order to confirm that the learner understands the concept.

I recognize that each student learns differently. It is important to me to assses the style that is best for the student. I will always differentiate the way I teach to the benefit of the pupil. If a student needs more visual aid and description, that is how I will teach them. If a different student needs manipulatives or prefers auditory lessons, I will provide that for them. The way I teach my students is the way that they learn best. If they do not learn in the way of their appropiate learning style it will not be as effective I have seven years experience as an electrical engineer.
