I have extensive research experience in bioinformatics from the University of Illinois. I have one year experience tutoring in the underprivileged area of Urbana, Illinois; at Garden Hills Elementary I tutored kids from 3rd and 5th grade classes who had fallen behind the scheduled lesson plan. I have been blessed with professors at the university level who understand the importance of one-on-one instruction. Through the "creativity" of thoughtful instructors I have seen myself grow and develop in ways that I hadn't thought possible. Every student learns differently, and once the instructor gets to know the student well enough and is able to tailor their lessons to the needs of the student, true learning happens.
