I love teaching and working with both children and adults. I like to present subjects in an easy to understand format, gradually increasing the challenge of the material being covered. I believe in positive reinforcement and dialog with each student to uncover their "learning blocks". I teach students to fall in love with learning. After that is accomplished, the rest is easy!
I work part-time at the Richmond Times Dispatch. I have tutored in math for years and I love the subject as a whole. Having an Electrical Engineering degree, I am very good at math and know it well. My true love is training and coaching both children and adults.

My teaching style is very simple, but effective. I merely talk to the student to find out where he or she is having difficulty, and work to find ways to remedy the problem. We will go over the concepts and do some exercises that will help to answer questions and deepen understanding of the source material.
I am a William and Mary graduate with a BS in Chemistry, with several years of programming experience from developing my own computer games. In addition I performed laboratory research at the College of William and Mary for a thesis and have 2 years of experience tutoring in Elementary Spanish, Computer Science, General Chemistry, and Organic Chemistry.
