I primarily use a question-and-answer technique. I am very adept at identifying when a student's understanding of a subject is not where it should be. I'm also an expert in using examples to explain a point. Especially when explaining technical things I can use non-technical examples to offer enlightenment. For example, while helping one of my sons learn college calculus I related first differentials to a police officer detecting speeders. I also have many years of experience and can provide examples for many learning experiences from my own background. I have a Bachelor's degree in engineering as well as an MBA.
