I have become very familiar with the differentiated instruction model of teaching students. Each child has an individual way of learning and it is up to the teacher to discover that way and lead or drive instruction with that in mind. I am willing to test and analize each child and see what is best for them as far as learning to read. If a child likes what they are doing they will do it more. During my time at the University of Missouri-Columbia, I earned two degrees: a BA in Philosophy and a BA in Theater. I also took many writing classes, focusing on different types of creative writing, from fiction to poetry to playwrighting.
