During my tenure at Buffalo State College, I volunteered at the Equal Opportunity Program, where my main strength was utilized by actively tutoring students in the art of the english essay. I was able to tutor these students and advise them in the general format of the essay. We began by procurring a general introduction, or a statement of fact,followed by the body of the essay, descriptive references, and tying it all together with a summary that proves the point that you have set out to make. I exercise patience with others on a daily basis whether interacting with my family, shopping at the grocery store, or driving on the highway. One of my most vivid memories of exercising patience with another person is when my neighbor, Kaitlyn, was learning to read. I practiced reading with Kaitlyn three afternoons a week during the summer. I worked patiently with her as she struggled to make out sounds and work her way through beginner books. A Little Bit About Me...

I have an Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor degree in Mathematics Education. I was a math tutor and math teaching assistant at Daemen College. I completed two student teaching placements in mathematics classrooms during my education. I also completed a volunteer experience at Seneca Babcock Preschool where I aided the teacher in helping the children learn colors and numbers. When I was a senior in high school, I taught Spanish to 2nd graders for a semester long project.
Teaching is such a rewarding experience. It is an amazing feeling when you help a student learn something that they previously had been struggling with.
