A Little Bit About Me...

As a math major, I tutored my peers throughout college. While I can tutor almost any math subject and several science subjects, my favorite subject to teach is algebra. I have found that those who struggle with higher math, including calculus and differential equations, often struggle due to lacking a solid foundation in algebra. I have earned dual undergraduate degrees, a BA in Mathematics and a BA in Economics, from Eastern Washington University. While attending EWU I worked as a econometrics tutor and teaching assistant. More About This Tutor...

Children and adults learn in different ways. Visual, auditory, kinesthetic are three ways that people can learn, I happen to be mostly kinesthetic. I alter how I teach depending on what my students need and what the resources are. I do use a constructivist teaching style to do this. I do believe that a student rises to the expectations of the instructor. I also believe that the responsibility of learning should be increasingly the students as they take over their own education away from the instructor. While the instructor is giving over the job of education to the student they should still contribute to broadening the students knowledge horizons by offering challenges.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am a recent graduate with straight A’s from Lewis-Clark State College with a major in Biology. I took many classes in math to receive my degree. I tutored students at the University of Montana enrolled in biology and anatomy courses. The students I tutored had significantly better test scores than their previous ones. At LCSC, I assisted one of my professors for her online chemistry courses. I made keys and graded their homework and added notes to help them for future assignments. I was also enrolled in human dissection. A large portion of the course was teaching the human anatomy students certain body parts. The feedback I received from the students was positive and they said that my lectures were easy to understand.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have recently have earned a BS degree in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Mathematics in DEC 2009. I have helped and still currently tutor my younger brother through his calculus courses. I work very well in teaching and working with others. I have taught martial arts self defense and discipline for over 10 years in Wind Fist Kung Fu as an instructor.
