As an Engineer, I have lots of understanding of both maths and science. From my experience working as Maths tutor in Department of Mathematics in Western Michigan University, I have learned to be good listener and more responsible. I love teaching and helping others. I have two children ages eight and five. We learn with each other through discovery, often turning to our dictionaries and computers for information. I think that the greatest skill for one to learn is to be able to seek information that can be synthesized into the answer that is needed. I use constructive criticism, making statements that demonstrate why an answer or line of thinking is incorrect without implying that the learner is somehow less valuable for having come to an incorrect conclusion. I think that it is very important to build a student's confidence in themselves because it is only with self-confidence that one can graduate to self-efficacy.

I have 20+ years experience in the computer field and I had a 3.0 average in general studies. I have a BS in computer science and an AAS in microcomputer technology. Most of my education was self taught beyond high school. I've also tutored and mentored school age children for approximately four years when in college.
