When the conventional has not worked!!!

Student-centered, Co-intentional. I believe that the key to learning is the motivation to want to learn. Once that has been accomplished, just stand back and guide the student to what they want next.
I have worked in schools in Kentucky and Ohio. I have been a tutor, intervention aide, long term substitute teacher, and regular classroom teacher. I communicate freely with my students, and am always ranked among the most well-liked and effective instructors by my students. My best skill is helping students find what is in it for them to learn and use the material. I currently teach (adjunct) at a career College where I teach English, history, strategies for success, and communications classes.

I have always been driven to achieve a high level of excellence in everything I do. As a college student, I tutored many of my friends and peers for free. I have tutored several children since graduating college for free as well, and have always enjoyed helping others learn and understand new things.
I love children of all ages. I am very patient and laid back. I am kind, and considerate of others. My goal would be to help the child learn and understand, while making the experience a fun and rewarding one. I believe everyone has the ability to do whatever they strive for.
