I have taught and tutored since I was sixteen. I currently teach for USC, a few online universities, Syl. Learning Center, and am a Professional Writing Tutor. I teach all grades and university levels, but my specialties are AP Courses and university courses. I enjoy teaching very much. I think a strength trying to use a student's active content or prior knowledge to connect to material. My attempts are always to make the student feel empowered by the education process. If you can connect to way what they are into, either cartoons, hip-hop, popular culture, with conservative humor, then sometimes you can gain their understanding much quicker. I love working with children. I especially love teaching them about science and mathematics because I find these subjects so interesting. There are few things more rewarding then seeing it all "click." I like to use diagrams and real life situations to explain subjects. Breaking things down into laymen's terms and reducing intimidation by putting things simply helps most students to grasp difficult topics. I'm a pretty good artist and like drawing diagrams.
