Taught English while living in Colombia, very easy for me to teach Spanish as it is my native language, also my Spanish is very neutral no strong accent at all. I love sharing what I know best, Spanish is a beautiful language, difficult sometimes but very fun to learn! I have my own method of teaching.

I prefer to teach in a classroom environment with a structure and learning standards. I can also teach in a one on one tutoring session. It is helpful to have good teaching materials and resources available. I like to have the opportunity to prepare lessons and have the ability to write lesson plans and prepare lessons. My teaching-style is rigorous yet kind. My students say that no one has ever criticized their writing and thought so thoroughly and constructively. I'm known for my patience working with students with foreign-language backgrounds and other disabilities such as a lack of attention and focus. I learned from my professors at Swarthmore College (and a few at Penn) how to project a non-B.S. style, since kids tend to intuitively realize when their teacher has no idea what he/she is talking about. Though I graduated with a BS in Secondary English Education, I have tutored and worked with students from elementary to secondary levels.
